South Beach Top Chefs previewed the FIU opening on June 19, 2026, and framed it as a return to where the whole thing started.
The location opened June 25, 2026 at 795 SW 110th Ave, founded by four FIU alumni — Angel Sanchez, Manny Vadillo, Danny Mugnai and Julio Almeyda — who met as brothers in Sigma Phi Epsilon.
The ribbon-cutting with Mayor Jose "Pepe" Diaz ran at 10 a.m., with the celebration going until 2 p.m. and Roary, the FIU mascot, on hand. Per the piece, "the first 100 attendees will receive a raffle ticket to win free coffee for a year."
The menu it listed: specialty coffee, espresso drinks, iced lattes and matcha, plus breakfast, salads, sandwiches, smoothies and fresh juices — all of it available all day.
